WHAT
WE DO

For over 40 years, the CSC has put the needs of the community at the forefront of all that we do. See the current structure of our organization.

PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

Unlike many organizations out there today, our footprint is very small. We strive to be doing the most for our local community, right here in the 40390. Our programs are a direct response to the needs that people are bringing forward to us. Learn more about the specific components that we are focusing on to make a difference in our community.

In order to meet the needs of our community, we provide multiple opportunities to receive food throughout the month.

Every week, we "rescue" fresh produce and grocery items from a local store to distribute to people in need. We also have a monthly food distribution of shelf-stable goods, meats, and dairy products.

Our Thrift Store provides a low-cost shopping option for the people in our community. We actively price ourselves lower than our competition (even Goodwill) in order to maintain affordability for our community.

Additionally, the
thrift store actively contributes to our operational expenses, allowing us to serve the community well.

For member of our community who are in need of additional help, we are able to provide rent/utilities assistance. Our leadership takes the time to explore what's going on in their lives, and looking to see if we can work toward the long-term goal of being free from the need to ask for help.

This program is fully funded by the generosity of our donors and allows many members of our community to afford basic living expenses.
